SuSE 10 and Oracle 9 won 't start after installation 2006-03-14 - By Adrienne J Davis
After installing Oracle 9.2.0.5 on a SuSE Linux 10 machine I see the following:
Error occurred during initialization of VM Unable to load native library: /usr/oracle/JRE/lib/i386/libjava.so: symbol _libc_wait, version GLIBC_2.0 not definted in file libc.so.6 with link time reference ERROR: ORA-01034 (See ORA-01034.ora-code.com) ORACLE not available ORA-27101 (See ORA-27101.ora-code.com) shared memory realm does not exist Linux Error: 2: No such file or directory SP2-0305: Invalid option
I'm just learning Oracle and I'm attempting to use it as a backend to the Serena product, Dimensions. Any idea of where I should start looking? Any assistance would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Cheers Aj
