Getting ORA-01034 and ORA-27101 error even though Oracle is u p... 2005-07-19 - By Magnus Andersen
Found the problem. I had the ORACLE_SID exported in lowercase and the SID = set to upper case in my listener.ora file. Changed the listener file to match the exported value and everything works. Thanks, Magnus

When I try to connect remotely I receive these errors. I can connect locally without problems and if I run ipcs I see the shared memory. I'm running Oracle 9.2.0.6 on RedHat EL 3 AS Any help is appreciated. Sincerely, Magnus Andersen
